Looking for some assistance. (flat spot/sputtering issue)

Post by knightmotorsports »

Hello i currently own a 1994 Suzuki swift gt turbo. running on mega squirt
v2 install and i use tuner studio to do basic auto tunes and management.
right now i am having and issue right now of what it sounded like a lack of
spark or sputtering issue between 2-3000 rpm. when i step on the gas
between that range i get a sputter and or flat spot and a hesitation before
the car accelerates sometimes even resulting in a backfire. i have an msd
ignition coil and stock ignition module and ngk spark plugs and wires. the
car also has lower compression than stock at 8:5:1 and a t3 ar50 trim
turbo. The car is equipped with a wide-band o2 and is set to EGO correct.
with the wide-band it seems to go rich and drop by a degree every time the
hesitation happens. other that spending hours on the dyno i haven't been
able to find the problem. i am looking for any assistance into figuring out
what this is, at this point it is really annoying and it is virtually
impossible to drive the car at cruising speeds. anything above 3k rpm the
car is fine it only seems to happen between 2-3 rpm range. any insight or help into this issue would be greatly appreciated. i haven't been able to data log the issue because my computer has done an upgrade to windows 8.1 and is no longer recognizing the usb to serial port even with the most updated driver..

Ok, please post a data log of the problem and a copy of your current MSQ file. This will give me more to go on.
