The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

If your question is about troubleshooting, configuration, or tuning, you MUST include your processor type (MS-I or MS-II) and code version in your post. If your question is about PCB assembly or modifications, you must also include the main board version number (1.01, 2.2 or 3.0). I have an odd problem. I am running a Megasquirt II v3 with a relay board running 8.86 code. Bank 1 of my injectors gets no gas. I can get the car to start on 4 cylinders using bank 2. The car is a 472 Cadillac V8 with a 1975 Cadillac port injection manifold. It has low impedance F2 (factory) injectors. I am using an HEI with vacuum advance. The Megasquirt only controls the FI. I recently built the Megasquirt but bought a preassembled relay board. I can not figure out what could cause 1 bank of injectors not to fire. I initially had an alternating injector sequence. Then I tried simulaneous, no change. I noticed the R15 0n my Megasquirt board looked burned. It was the only component burned. I replaced it with another 22 ohm resistor. The original burned resistor measured 23 ohms. So I don't suspect that this resistor was causing a problem. The spark plugs on Bank 1 are still clean. The bank 2 plugs are wet .Has anyone had this issue or does this ring any bells as to what would cause 1 bank to not work ? BTW, the fuses are all good. Thanks. Dan
Hi Lance, thanks for the quick response. For starters I am running the 2.886 code. (I am getting confused with multiple IOSs that I deal with on a daily basis with my job !) As for Q9 and Q 3 - I have infinite resistance (no continuity) between the mounting tab and the heatsink. At time of assembly I did have the 60k ohm resistance without any modifications. One thing I did notice is that Q14 has continuity between 2 of the pins, the center pin and the pin that is nearest the rs232 connector. I scraped the area between the pins. I put the computer in the car again and noticed the voltage on bank 1. I started the car and it works ! Thanks for helping out. I lightly burned my finger in bank 1's header tube ! yeah baby !!!! Now to stop it from running rich ! Dan
