dead cold idle afr?

Post by HPjunkie »

My motor starts right away and runs about 10-20 seconds then dies. I cannot restart unless I open the throttle. The mixture seems to be 13:1 most of the time. What should the mixture be?

The problem with needing to open the throttle suggests you're a bit too rich.

That was my feeling although i am not sure If I can get it leaner. I will try to lean the cold start down to 10 or 20 percent vs. fifty percent. I have tried 35% with no avail.
