Is injector angle important?

Sorry to keep harping on about this, but I need to get it straight in my own mind before I move on with this.

With reference to my post in the list below and my intention to use bottom mounted MPI on my Mk2 Jaguar by drilling the existing cold start castings for injectors.
I am now thinking I might get goodish results by bouncing the fuel pulse off the top of the port in an attempt to hit the inlet valve throat.
Against this, is a possible need to get the required angle on the injectors (about 45 degrees) and the lack of meat on the castings to obtain this much angle (maybe 70 degrees is obtainable).

Now I can weld on injector bungs, but this is more complicated, as I have no aluminium welding equipment, so I would have to have it professionally done.

It has occurred to me that Megasquirt 11 is batch firing and not sequential injection; therefore even with the most precise angles it is unlikely that a valve will be open to receive any such accurate targeting.
If this is the case then targeting would appear to have little effect on power or economy and simply getting a charge into the port as close to the valve as possible, is all that is needed.

Am I correct in this line of thought? Will effectively any angle be ok?

i don't think the angle will afect it much at all because you have lots of air movement in the intake and then the injector also sprays the fuel in a fine atomised mist if its working right
