required fuel questions

Post by highmiler »

ok so I have a 3400 with a 3.57 ms2, I swaped in some green top ford Injectors that everyone I know says they are 42lb/hr.... but when I tried to start it, i had to bump the required fuel way up to like 42( im running E85) my required fuel was at 20 before and my air/fuels were close to what I want.... now my question is shouldnt a 42 injector have a lower required fuel than like a 24 or am I bass ackwards?

That is an unlikely value. How many of these injectors do you have?

Also, post your MSQ, I can check if any settings are obviously out of whack.

I have 6 injectors in the stock location, the part number for the stock injectors is 25323971 gm(they are plastic), and the ford ones I put in are green tops out of a 95 ford ranger flex fuel. I think I loaded my file up right, let me know if you see anything else that I should change. thanks

Your msq is corrupt. Please re-upload.

I suspect with such high req_fuel your values in the ve table are FAR to small, but if that is the case you'd struggle tuning a decent idle :?
