About TPS sensor

Post by toniboni »

Hi, i have TPS sensor from Fiat Uno 1.3 turbo and the sensor itself is not a potentiometer type. It`s just a switch in first position(when the throttle is closed) it grounds the signal. The second position is the signal wire goes to 5volts (vref) when throttle is half open until wide open throttle. I red that when the signal wire is grounded MS enter in Flood clear mode and when signal wire is linked with Vref wire MS enter in EGO feedback. So is it correct to use that TPS sensor or i have to look for a potentiometer type.
Sorry for my English !!!

Toni

Someone may correct me but I think you will have to bin this sensor and find a potentiometer type...

Is it the same as this:

If so, I do not know of a direct replacment.

I used a 0-280-122-001 but it is smaller, so you have to mount it on new holes. ALso, i had to cut the shaft down a bit to fit it on.

It`s almost the same and it`s not a problem to adjust it to fit.
