megatune problems XJS V12

Post by KC7EYZ »

I have car running on MS V2.2 and megasquirt.exe.
All attempts to use megatune on several Win 98 PCs with serial port have failed. (one without any other MS programs installed prior)
I have read and reread setup info. Port, com rate, ECU type, should be OK, but no communication with processor.
Megatune starts OK with display truncated in lower right screen that cannot be moved to see bottom row.
I would like to upgrade processor but not until I can communicate better.
Sorry if this is an obvious problem. I built MS V2.2 successfully in 2005 and have 20+ years with PCs.

There's really no point in bothering with MegaTune as IIRC it's not supported any more. Get TunerStudio. I did have it (TS) running on a Win 98 SE laptop with serial port - but dunno if the current version will. I went to a more modern laptop as the one I had crashed when logging.

XJS V12

Post by KC7EYZ »

I have my communications problems solved for now. Thanks for the help.
After considerable delay, I now have 1983 XJS V12 up and running and I have done one logging run.

I would like to share constants and VE tables with other V12 Megasquirt users of any version.
I am still using MS1 V2.2 .s19

What are we talking about here??????

Agreeing with Dave, as usual! MegaTune is history and no longer supported. Download TunerStudio and do yourself a favor..... Get the paid version! You will never regret it!
