BBF MegaSqrt Unit

Post by Rockaholic »

I have never used this before and never been this in depth with fuel injection. I am looking to learn and put together a stand alone fuel injection system for my BBF. It is a daily driver, will see many street/strip pulls as well. Looking to put out 500-700 crank hp depending on how aggressive of a tune and cam i go with. With that said. Is there a "kit" that includes everything or is there a list i would need of parts to get. It is a D1VE block with D3VE heads and heads are being switched to P-51 Kaase heads with a 4500 port matched intake with fuel rails attached from them. Block is bored .03 and has diamond pistons with arp bolt/stud kit. Has aftermarket h beams and a eagle forged crank. Will see a 200-250 2 stage nitrous progressive shot with a 150 hole shot progressive to 200 through mid 2nd gear with the 2nd shot kicking in with a 150 hit and another progressive to 200. A lot of plumbing but well worth it for traction purposes IMO. Again, i am familiar with EFI but not everything that is needed. I like bolt and go scenarios.

The biggest questions for picking out a MegaSquirt here would be:

1. Solder it yourself or ready to go?
2. What ignition do you want to use?
3. Anything you need to control besides fuel and ignition?
