Cold start problems

For discussing B&G MS-I/MS-II set-up and tuning of fuel parameters (including idle valves, etc.).

Cold start problems

Motor: VW 9A 2L 16v bored 40 over, T3/T4 turbo in a 1981 Scirocco.
Fuel System: MS1 V3 running both spark and fuel.
No ISV.

On cold start, it runs lean and I have to flutter the accelerator to get it running warm enough to function on its own.

I've been fighting this for years, making it richer with out effect, then leaning it out and still not finding that sweet spot.

Any one have a set of numbers for crank and ASE stages as a starter or a good way of setting this?

I'd LOVE to crank it and have it run.

Tuner Studio recently gained a cold start warm up autotune facility. If you have a wideband O2 fitted.

I have that update from last year, its the Crank and ASE I am concerned about.
