I am into the configuration stage of a new system. [V-3 board, MS2,2.3 ini] I am going to attempt to run without a TPS, therefore,no connections or entry's have been made for TPS. The display in megatune shows a gradual rise of the TPS needle that continues to WOT. I am assuming that this is because the V3 is reading this info into the system control functions, and is due to "0" TPS resistance & evidently "active" sensor receptors. How can I deactivate or remove the TPS from the program so that I can enable it again? (I may find that I cannot successfully run without a TPS)
connect TPS signal wire (pin 22 on DB37) to ground to set TPS to low voltage. it will prob show a negative value in megatune depending on current calibration. after you connect signal wire to ground, if you calibrate TPS low voltage to current value, it will sit right at 0%.

Monkey, I appreciate your reply, but your fix or setting the TPS calibrate upper value to "0" (as I did to initially) is going to confuse the V3 program. The program could respond to the TPS (indicating a closed throttle) in priority to: let's say " a MAP that indicates that the throttle is wide open". I guess I have posted in the wrong area. My error. I will repost in another area.
I think Monkey was right on. I think you ground the tps input to keep it from floating. The floating is what is making your tps move to WOT. Ground it so it does not float and calibrate MS so it thinks the TPS is at 0% open and stays there. This is talked about somewhere in the manual.
All the TPS is used for is flood clear mode and it can also be used for AE. The map and rpm are the main drivers the of the fuel equation. Of coarse the map and rpm are driven by your TP, and that is driven by your right foot!
