Increase values in VE Table

Post by SMALOR »

I have my required fuel set as per the calculator and have a working VE Table. My issue is that the upper VE entries are only about 60 and I would like them to be 100 or more.

Is there an easy way to increase the values of the VE table entries without affecting the amount of fuel the motor is getting.

I have read the manual and understand how to reset the required fuel, however, in this case I already have the proper required fuel number and have a good VE table.

I just would prefer if the VE Table values were all higher so that the table will have more resolution.

Running MS1 V3.0 with boostjunkies NGC code variant on a 5.7 Hemi.

I could not give you the exact keystroke sequence but it definitely is possible to decrease req_fuel with appropriate (automatic) increases in the VE table. Req_fuel as per calculator is a good start and rather conservative.

Its nice to have req_fuel so small that the larger VE numbers are around 200 - 230 as that gives you more resolution to tune with, otherwise a single % change on the VE table could result in a large AFR change.

Reset req_fuel definitely has something to do with this VE table re-scaling.

Anyone else?

Please keep in mind that I already have the proper required fuel and a good VE table. Just want to use larger numbers for the VE values.

I wrote a reply yesterday but must've forgotten to post it:

Divide your reqfuel number by any number you want, and multiply your VE table numbers by that same number. Just make sure your maximum VE number stays below 255...
