New member looking to run MS2 with itb's porsche 911
I'm new to this forum I'm located in Sydney Australia.
I'm doing an engine build for my 1974 porsche 911, the motor is a 993 3.6, which is being converted to a 3.8 with PMO independant throttle bodies & twin plug.
Rather than going down the motec or elecromotive line, I like the idea of doing the DIY job, I am a software developer by trade so reasonably technically competent, this will also get me more involved with my engine build ( I have a master porsche tech with 40 years experience doing the build).
So my question is to those guys out there (I am a pelicanparts member with the same nik) with porsche motors who are running MS2,
1. what is it like to set up
2. will it run itb's and twin plug.
3. Can I run a pair of MSD's
4. can I run tach of the pulley? or do I have to run of the flywheel?
5. setting up the harness, is it hard.
Anyway any advice apprciated
cheers
Matt

1. A six tooth distributor wheel
2. A three tooth crank wheel
3. A missing tooth type crank wheel, such as a Bosch 60-2 trigger wheel or Ford style 36-1 wheel.

You will, however, be able to upgrade the MS2 to an MS3X to add sequential injection later on.

When the bugs the beta testers find are fixed. There's currently around 25 of them out "in the wild" being tested, although most of these are not sequential.matty74 wrote:when is MS3 due out?
