New to EFI, and I have a 3 cylinder engine with Turbo

Post by IceFyre13th »

What I have is a 3 cylinder engine with turbo (Chery 800cc) in a mini sand rail. The factory ECU, well it is not upgradable as it is from a foreign country and getting documentation for it is impossible.

The Chery engine will be replaced later with a Triumph Rocket III engine (2300cc 3 cylinder) that will also be turbo charged later on. For now the Chery engine is my "test bed" to learn the proper way to tune the Mega Squirt....I really do not care if it blows up, LOL

I have looked in the Mega Squirt manuals and I think the Mega Squirt III is the way to go as it has a built in 2.5 Bar MAP sensor. I would like some of your expert recommendations please before I purchase the Mega Squirt.

MS1, MS2, and MS3 all refer to the particular processor (or processor card) installed on the main circuit board. Each of the main boards - V2.2, V3.0, and V3.57 - all include a 250 kPaA (pressure sensor. The MicroSquirt and MicroSquirt Module do not include on-board pressure sensors.

Edit - 250 kPaA = 21psig; if you plan on more boost than that you'll need a different pressure sensor.
