Buick Straight 8

Post by hotrodjake »

I would like to put two throttle bodies on my 1941 Buick Straight 8. It currently has two two bbls on it, used in progression, the front runs as a two bbl and the second kick in like the secondary on a 4 bbl. I doubt if this is the most efficient design, considering runner length and carb placement. I would like to adapt throttle bodies for both, to run as a constant flow injection. It would have to give me better economy and power than stock. it has 4 runners that feed 8 cylinders. Is this possible?

I've seen dual TBIs used like twin carbs before; it's not difficult to run from an electronics standpoint. I'd definitely set them for synchronous opening.
