nissan sentra

hi av1.. nid some help here..
im now doin my project on ecu unit and wat i hav now is NISSAN SENTRA 1.6 engine..

can any1 giv me de suggestion about which MS i shud use..
MS1 o MS2..
can tel me de diff??

plz do help.. kinda urgent

What year Sentra? They built a lot of 1.6 liter engines for these, and not all of them have the same requirements.

erm.. i don reali know tat...

is tat much diff ?
wat i hav now is a MS2 version 2.2
if i change into V3 wil it b better ??

There's a HUGE difference. Depending on the year, you might have one of the following motors:

1. An E16 motor with a carburetor and distributor.
2. A GA16, which can be treated like the KA24 in our 240SX MegaSquirt guide.
3. Possibly a couple other engines that never made it to the US market.
wat i hav now is a MS2 version 2.2
if i change into V3 wil it b better ??
MS2 V2.2s are pretty rare - that would have a green main board with a small circuit board plugged into the 40 pin socket. Almost all of these ones are the result of someone piecing together an MS from a couple different kits.

There's a HUGE difference. Depending on the year, you might have one of the following motors:

1. An E16 motor with a carburetor and distributor.
2. A GA16, which can be treated like the KA24 in our 240SX MegaSquirt guide.
3. Possibly a couple other engines that never made it to the US market.

yup.. wat i holding now is set in a green main board.. but it doesnt matter coz it is jz to help me do get data..
can i directly change de 68HC908 ic into de MS-II ?
where can i get de MS-II?? where to purchase ?
coz im now at malaysia ^^

Ok, that sounds like an MS1 V2.2, not an MS2. For how to put an MS2 processor in one, see this link:

so.. de main board for MS-1 n MS-2 is actually de same but just difference in processor...
can it say tis way ??

some update here...

if de engine i had now is de 2006 sentra engine, which using de engine model QG16DE.

so, is it MS-I better o MS-II??

wats benefit for the 1 had been chose?

i decided to use the MS-II. is it the right choice?

On this engine, your easiest option is probably going to be to ignore most of the stock sensors and put a 36-1 crank trigger on there. We have a page about this sort of thing on our site here:
