hi my name is george im a second year auto apprentice in canada ... i got a 93 chev 1/2 tonn 2wd with a 305 and a 700r4 trans... it is all stock with tbi injection ... i am building a streetable 350 arround 300hp i was hoping to keep the stock injection system but the stock throttle body dont flow near enough cfm ... my plan... 2 throttle bodys on a dual quad intake manifold... now... ive never had anything to do with modifying a fuel injection system ... i like fuel injection due to its reliability and driveability ... but theres little to no tuning to be done on a stock system... what i would like to do is purchase a megasquirt ecm install in my truck and pratice befor the 350 swap ... my question to you is where do i start what do i need and am i getting way in over my head?

This shouldn't be too difficult with an MS2. We've even got a couple adapter options if you want to make it plug into a factory TBI harness.

Well, an MS2, Stim, wiring harness or adapter board, and a cable to connect it to a laptop for tuning. We have articles on two possible approaches here:

http://www.DIYAutoTune.com/tech_article ... _v8_v6.htm

http://www.DIYAutoTune.com/tech_article ... _board.htm

Those should answer your questions about distributor advance, etc.

alright ive done a tone of reading in the last weeker so... figured i go with a complete ms2 and the adaptor bord for tbi ... now im not worried about egr or evap ... but it i do alot of hiway driving with this truck and im wondering what kind of isues im going to be into runing my lock up torque without a speed sensonr .. if i only use a rpm and map signal will the tourque not lock up in all gears? in forth gear in my truck cruisin down the rd at 100k my engine only turns 1500-1700rpm .... is there anyway to get a speed imput into the ms2?
