New ro Megasqirt

Post by caver99 »

Hi All,

I am new to this 7, i have not yet purchased my megasquirt.
I am looking at running a Vauxhall(GM) Astra MK4 1.8(ECOtech) sport with a megasquire-ii v3

I have a few questions regarding this.

1, Are they hard to install or just a pain getting all the right connections.

2, The engine has the coil pack on it do i need the amps onn this.

3, Is there an .S19 file for this engine?

4, Any other info help would be much appreciated.

I am in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, UK if there is anyone that can help.

Thanks

Graham

Talk to ExtraEFI about your requirements. Installing an MS from scratch isn't that complicated - provided you have decent wiring skills and can follow a wiring diagram.
The beauty of MS is that it is available all the way from a kit where you build the ECU yourself all the way up to plug and play packages (for some vehicles).

Sadly I don't think you can buy a kit for self assembly from an official UK MS dealer. But you can from DIYAutoTune - but will have to pay import duty. If you have built such things before I'd say go ahead - it's not only a pleasant way to while away a couple of dark evenings, but makes it much easier to understand how the thing works.
