Re: O2 sensor out of limits msg

It's an Innovate LC1, the sensor is the one which came in the box, so I'm guessing Bosch.
It's reading too rich, dial lights up red.

Doesn't do it all the time, seems to be only after a WOT moment.

Re: O2 sensor out of limits msg

Sorry, just re-read your post.

No, the AFR gauge needle stays as far in the red as it can go.

Re: O2 sensor out of limits msg

I guess the important factor here is, does the AFR gauge not read while VE Analyze is giving this message.
It sounds like it is a symptom of your WB sensor going off.

Rats!

It's less then 50 miles old!

I'll try a full fresh air calibration and reset, see if that helps.

I'll let you know how I ...

Re: O2 sensor out of limits msg

Took the car for a club run, about 75 miles of mixed roads, run pretty well.

Had the "O2 sensor out of limits msg" from the start of the drive, so tried (in order) re-starting the programme, re-starting the laptop and then switching the MS off while the computer was turned off.

Nothing worked, the ...

Re: O2 sensor out of limits msg

"Are your other gauges reading right?
Is it rebooting the laptop that fixes it, or power cycling the WB Controller or MS?"

All the other gauges read right, whether on the VE Live page or the Gauge page, all except the AF gauge.

Not sure! I obviously pull over when switching the laptop off and on ...

O2 sensor out of limits msg

Whilst using VE live and Autotune, if the Air/Fuel mix goes extremely too rich (say, on the overrun after WOT) I get a (yellow highlighted) message saying “O2 sensor out of range” in the bottom RH corner.

The A/F gauge then stays red and the needle stops moving, staying at the highest reading, no ...

EDIS 6 Coil Pack Dead

Is my coil pack dead?

Car was running well with MS and EDIS 6, but now won't re-start.

No spark showing, do have power to the coils and EDIS ECU. And all the PIP and SAW circuits seem good.

Can all 3 coils fail at once?

Thanks

Backfire with EDIS

Triumph 2000 on carbs with EDIS in "limp home" 10 BTDC. MS to follow!

When trying to start the car, it'll backfire once or twice before starting.

Once started runs very well, within the limitations of "limp home"!

Is this becasue the missing tooth may not be at exactly 60 degrees ahead of the VR ...

Re: EDIS 6 Cylinder wiring question

It's the the screen connection for the VR sensor lead and SAW/PIP. Don't connect the other end to anything.

Sorry, should have mentioned that at the moment all the wires into the EDIS plug are cut! I think the EDIS was literally “cut out”!

Should I just ignore it completely or re-connect to ...

Re: EDIS 6 Cylinder wiring question

Thanks James.

I already have a screened cable source in the M/S, pin 7.

So, perhaps I can ignore this wire?

Interestingly, the 8 cylinder EDIS doesn’t seem to have this wire, pin 4 (the pin in question) is a neg feed to the VR. The extra pin this leaves is used for the 4th coil.

EDIS 6 Cylinder wiring question

EDIS 6 Cylinder wiring problem/question.

My EDIS has an extra wire, one not shown on the MSefi website schematics.

It has an orange/red tracer wire from pin 4 on the EDIS unit, this wire then runs through the same screened cable as the PIP wire (pin 1).

Wondering if anyone had anything like this ...

Wiring Batch Fire Injectors on a 6 Cylinder

I'm installing MS2 V3.0 onto a Triumph 6 cylinder engine (same engine as found in a TR6).

The MS is a batch fire, the engines firing order is 1,5,3,6,2,4 , is it worthwhile having 153 as one batch and 624 as the other?

Or should I just wire in the neatest way, 1,2,3 (batch 1) and 4,5,6 (batch 2 ...
