Hall effect pickup 3 blade with 3 gaps
So what I need to know is this type of system usable on any of the megasquirt computers or do I have to change to a different crank angle and cam angle system?
Thanks and I hope this makes sence.

No, they use a 3-0 on the crank and a 3-0 on the cam. Note that there is 60 degrees in length flat blade and the 60 degrees of length in nothing and is repeated 2 more times. So I suspect they use this configuration because it tells where the crankshaft position is every revolution and then the same on the cam and use a multiplyer on the cam signal so it knows when to fire. There is no distributor because if there was I would use it. Remember this was KIA as it was going under and got bought up by Hyundia.DonTZ125 wrote:I'm surprised to see something that basic in a more modern vehicle. A 3-0 Hall wheel could be used for basic fuelling, but not for spark. There should be another sensor and another trigger point in there somewhere ...
So anymore great ideas????????

Note - are you sure it's not a 4 tooth cam wheel, like this? I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kia had used a Mitsubishi tooth pattern.
